Brunswick, a global marine leader, is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to support the Quality Engineering Team in developing, deploying, and monitoring quality processes to transform experiences on the water and beyond.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred
- Experience using Solidworks, Draftsight, or similar 3D modeling software
- Working knowledge of appropriate engineering principles.
- Strong organizational skills, good communication skills, and flexible interpersonal skills are required
- An engineering student with at least 80 credits working towards a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Previous experience in manufacturing setting preferred
- The ability to coordinate numerous projects in a professional and ethical manner
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy Built in Quality across the value stream.
- Develop and implement Quality Plans for new products as part of the HPPD process.
- Process PPAP/FAI submissions to enable timely new product shipments
- Handle tactical quality issues both within the operation and external customers.
- Review Corrective Action submissions to verify root cause analysis is complete and measures are taken to eliminate future reoccurrence
- Conduct quality performance analysis and proactively provide insightful information to Operations and Customer Service.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards relative to warranty agreements

- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
- Must be a self-starter capable of working both independently, as well as part of a team
- Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week periodically to complete the job
- This position may require occasional day and/or overnight travel by auto or airplane, up to 10%
