The company is seeking a Business Analyst / Data Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, domain SMEs, and the data engineering team in the Finance and Capital Markets domain.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Finance & Capital Markets (trading, investment banking, asset management, risk & compliance).
- Strong background in data engineering concepts (data modeling, data pipelines, metadata management).
- Experience in data modernization projects on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, Redshift, etc.).
- Hands-on with SQL, Python (for data analysis), BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
- Experience in large, complex transformation programs.
- Certifications in Finance/Capital Markets (e.g., CFA, FRM) or Cloud/Data Platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Prior consulting experience with financial services clients.
Responsibilities
- Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, customer domain SMEs, and technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and domain deep-dives with finance and capital markets teams.
- Translate complex business needs into functional requirements, data models, and process flows.
- Analyze and profile large volumes of structured and unstructured financial data.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on ETL/ELT pipelines, medallion architectures, data lakes, and warehouses.
- Work closely with engineering teams on cloud-based modernization initiatives (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
- Participate in solution validation, UAT, and ensure alignment with business outcomes.
Other
- 8–12 years of total experience in Business Analysis / Data Analysis roles.
- Minimum 5+ years in Finance and Capital Markets domain (trading, investment banking, asset management, risk & compliance).
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Modernization initiatives with modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills.
