Campbell's is undergoing a data transformation journey to build a trusted data foundation that supports strategic initiatives across the company. The Business Analyst will bridge business and IT by clarifying requirements, profiling and analyzing data, and enabling trusted data products, ensuring data meets governance standards, business expectations, and is discoverable and usable for decision making.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis; advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of data quality dimensions and data governance practices.
- Experience with data catalog/metadata tools (e.g., Data.World, Collibra, Alation, etc.).
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI (preferred) for validation and analysis.
- Familiarity with agile processes
- Familiarity with Power BI and Dashboard Development
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements through structured workshops, interviews, and analysis.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for delivery teams.
- Perform data profiling and baseline assessments to measure completeness, accuracy, timeliness, validity, and uniqueness.
- Identify anomalies, differentiate between defects and legitimate business exceptions, and document business impacts.
- Author and maintain business-driven data quality rules (thresholds, tolerances, and definitions) in partnership with business stewards.
- Partner with Data Engineers to hand off approved rules for technical implementation
- Support UAT by developing test cases, coordinating with users, and validating results.
Other
- Minimum education required: B.S. or B.A. in business, computer science, engineering, statistics, economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Governance Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, stakeholder facilitation, and business process analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex data concepts into business language.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and levels, influencing both business and IT stakeholders.
