Microsoft's Health and Life Sciences (HLS) COO Intelligence team is seeking a Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives through scalable analytics solutions and actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making with a focus on clinical applications.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Power Query, and Power Apps.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R) and multivariate modeling.
- Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for large datasets.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in business analytics.
- Knowledge of Microsoft platforms such as Azure, Dynamics, and Fabric.
- Experience working within data governance frameworks, including metadata management, data stewardship, and compliance with internal and external regulations.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and other Microsoft analytics tools.
- Contribute to the development of AI-driven insights, including predictive modeling and propensity analysis.
- Investigate and deploy new AI methods, tools, and agents to accelerate the time to deliver outcomes.
- Support the development of reusable data pipelines and analytics assets for cross-team consumption.
- Document and optimize business processes, workflows, and data flows to support scalable analytics
- Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and AI specialists to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance with Microsoft’s data handling standards.

- Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical and analytical requirements.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement.
- Drive analytics initiatives within the HLS domain, with a strong emphasis on clinical applications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or financial/business analytics.
