Universal Kids Resort is looking to drive significant value through increased efficiency or incremental revenue and positively impact the company’s bottom-line by leveraging data-driven analytics to optimize labor efficiency, asset utilization, and capacity planning.
Requirements
- Must have knowledge and experience using data querying and programming tools (e.g., SQL, Python, etc.)
- Business intelligence/dashboarding software tools (e.g., Tableau, Domo, etc.)
- Statistical modeling software applications (e.g., R, SPSS, etc.)
- Strong PC skills including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation graphics software
- Probability and statistics
- Process flow analysis
- Queuing theory
- Mathematical optimization
Responsibilities
- Applies comprehensive knowledge and techniques of industrial engineering and business analytics to ensure appropriate methodological approach, measurements, tools, and objective, structured analytic techniques to drive business growth
- Oversees key projects and delivers analytical insights that enhance executive decision-making and operational performance through improved labor efficiency, asset utilization, and capacity optimization
- Works cross-functionally to identify and analyze business improvement opportunities, develop justifications, and drive growth through enhanced utilization and productivity
- Provides input and executes strategic plans for exploring new, state-of-the-art analytical tools and technology that can be leveraged to positively impact the department
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Leads multiple, concurrent initiatives providing analytical decision-making support for Universal Kids Resort leadership

- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to partner with others and deal with multiple priorities and differing points of view in a challenging operational environment
- Demonstrated strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and lead complex, cross-functional teams
- Masters’ degree or Doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, or a closely related field of study preferred
- 5+ years of applied industrial engineering and operational analysis experience performing operational analysis for theme parks, resort, retail, etc. is required
- Consistent attendance is a job requirement
