Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) is looking to hire a Business Application Developer to help secure valuable water resources by building, creating, and modifying application software or specialized programs to aid District staff in support of their mission. The role involves analyzing customer needs and developing application solutions to meet those needs, designing or customizing application solutions that optimize operational efficiency, and analyzing and designing databases.

Responsibilities
- Work within an Agile Framework to develop and implement Appian and .Net web‐based applications.
- Create various document artifacts including design/technical approach documents, sequence diagrams, installation instructions, UML diagrams, etc.
- Build critical Appian based applications as well as associated integration components in C-Sharp/C++.
- Participate in customer and team meetings to support various program tasks including design review, status updates, technical roadmap, production troubleshooting and remediation.
- Work within the ITB DevOps release process to ensure completion of key tasks including deployment, code baseline and merge, version control, automated testing.
- Work throughout the entire software development and project life cycle (requirements discovery, technical design/innovation, development, deployment, and maintenance)
- Develop BPM specifications to integrate with legacy applications leveraging web services, messaging and enterprise service bus

- Employee may be subject to call-in outside of regularly scheduled work hours, or required to be on call, including on nights, weekends or holidays, to respond to emergency management activities or other incidents requiring rapid response in support of District operations.
- Some travel, using District vehicle, within the District's coverage area.
