Alstom is looking to drive growth in its North American Services business by shaping commercial strategy, building strong customer relationships, and delivering impactful value propositions.

Requirements

  • Experience or understanding of North American railway or rail transit industry segment.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management at all organizational levels, including C-suite.
  • Familiarity with strategic or product marketing, including Value Story creation and launching new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute commercial growth strategies.
  • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to translate customer needs into business solutions.
  • Experience in structuring, pricing, negotiating, and closing business opportunities.
  • Leadership experience in rail or transit operations and system maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Services commercial team in all aspects of portfolio growth, including strategy development, integrated account planning, opportunity identification, and value communication for accounts in the US and Canada.
  • Serving as the primary conduit between Alstom and assigned customers, in coordination with the Alstom Customer Director team, to develop a deep understanding of their business operations and how Alstom’s products and services deliver added value.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships and communication at all organizational levels, including C-suite.
  • Collaborating with existing functional and P&L teams to achieve growth objectives.
  • Structuring, pricing, negotiating, and closing business opportunities.
  • Leading the preparation and strategy of winning proposals during the Bid/Tender phase, ensuring alignment to the tender schedule, customer requirements, and delivery approach.
  • Demonstrating domain knowledge of North American passenger and transit business operations, market environment, and Alstom’s value proposition in Maintenance and Operations Services.

Other

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or other related fields.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability to work in a matrixed team environment to achieve growth objectives.
  • Full-time remote Business Developer in Atlanta, GA. This role may also be fully remote in the Southeast US region.
