Alstom is seeking a Senior Sales & Business Development Leader for its North American Services business unit to contribute to the development and execution of a commercial growth strategy, focusing on identifying and capturing services business growth opportunities in the US and Canada.
Requirements
- 10 years experience in North American railway or rail transit industry segment
- At least 5 years of experience of direct sales, product management, account or team leadership experience in a commercial or operations role.
- Demonstrated domain knowledge of NAM passenger & transit business operations, market environment, and Alstom’s value proposition in the performance of Maintenance and Operations Services.
- Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships at all organizational levels, including C suite.
- Strategic or product marketing experience, including product development, Value Story creation, and launching new technologies with customers.
- Experience in the application and/or use of technology-based solutions to improve operational outcomes in large scale business operations.
- Direct leadership experience in rail or transit operations & system maintenance
Responsibilities
- Lead the Services commercial team in all aspects of portfolio growth including strategy development, integrated account planning, opportunity identification, and value communication for a portfolio of accounts located in the US and Canada.
- Serve as the primary conduit between Alstom and assigned customers to develop a deep understanding of their business operations and how Alstom’s products and services deliver added value to the customer.
- Build customer relationships and communication at all levels.
- Matrix with existing functional and P&L teams to achieve growth objectives.
- Structure, price, negotiate and close business opportunities.
- Lead the preparation and strategy of winning proposals during the Bid/Tender phase, ensuring organizational alignment to the tender schedule, the customer requirements, and the delivery approach of the business.
