At Aquatech, the business problem is to tackle the challenges of water scarcity and complexity by leveraging technology, expertise, and financing to deliver comprehensive solutions that reduce carbon and recycled water footprint in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of sales experience in water for the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, preferably selling capital equipment or engineered systems into manufacturing facilities.
- Proven track record of developing strategic accounts and navigating complex technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate water and process technology into clear business outcomes: compliance, risk reduction, time-to-market, OPEX, sustainability, and resilience.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with $50M+ program environments is a strong plus (whether as a single project or portfolio).
- Knowledge of PW/WFI, clean utilities, wastewater, and ZLD solutions for cGMP environments.
- Familiarity with cGMP/FDA expectations and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a focused sales strategy targeting new pharma and life sciences facilities planned or under development in the U.S. over the next 3–5 years.
- Expand Aquatech’s footprint in PW/WFI, clean utilities, wastewater, and ZLD solutions for cGMP environments.
- Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities: new facilities, major expansions, and strategic upgrades at existing plants.
- Build relationships across the buying center—project engineering, operations, quality, procurement, and executive sponsors.
- Lead opportunities from first conversation through proposal, negotiation, and contract close.
- Shape opportunity strategy: qualification, win themes, commercial and technical positioning, and pricing.
- Work with internal process, design, and proposals teams to develop technically compliant, commercially compelling solutions and submittals under cGMP/FDA expectations.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 35%+ in the U.S. to customer sites, EPC offices, and Aquatech locations.
- Minimum 4 years of sales experience in water for the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills; comfortable presenting to VP / C-level as well as technical and quality teams.
- Highly organized and data-driven, with the discipline to manage multiple opportunities and keep CRM, funnel, and forecasts current.
