The Illinois Central College is looking to solve the problem of promoting, developing, and cultivating strategic relationships with business and industry stakeholders to support workforce development initiatives.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with CRM and project management software.
- Familiarity with micro credentials, noncredit programming, and adult learning methodologies.
- Data-driven decision-making experience.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work with diverse audiences and build professional relationships.
- Experience in higher education, information technology, manufacturing, or healthcare industries.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, industry leaders, and workforce organizations to assess training needs and identify partnership opportunities.
- Conduct consultations with employers to understand skill gaps and workforce challenges, collaborating with internal partners to design tailored training solutions.
- Present the full spectrum of College offerings in a cohesive and strategic manner, aligning solutions with employer needs rather than promoting individual programs in isolation.
- Coordinate efforts across multiple institutional stakeholders—including Workforce Solutions, Externally-Funded Programs, Contract Trainers, Apprenticeships, and other relevant departments—to ensure a unified front when engaging with external business clients.
- Align College programs with workforce development needs using employment data and stakeholder feedback.
- Identify opportunities for micro credential development and collaborate with instructional designers and faculty to create short-term, skills-based learning pathways.
- Drive contract training sales, facilitate agreements, and secure partnerships aligned with workforce demands.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education, information technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, program management, instructional design, or workforce development.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
