The Business Information Developer Consultant is responsible for developing and executing complex data analysis and delivering data-based products to help make effective business decisions.
Requirements
- Develop strategic report applications from the data warehouse, using structured query language (SQL) to extract relevant sets of data.
- Establish and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.
- Develop and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables (the majority of time will be spent programming).
- Help with performance-tuning of existing SQL queries to ensure completion of business-essential processes in accordance with established partner service-level-agreements.
- Familiarity with Amazon RedShift, Snowflake, Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or equivalent database software preferred.
- Familiarity with ETL coding via Python, or ETL software such as Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, or Talend preferred.
- Ability to train and mentor junior team members in advanced SQL query-writing and team standard operating procedures preferred.

- Perform modeling of information sources and flows.
- Establish connectivity to operations source systems and data repositories.
- Conduct data discovery work to understand strengths, limitations, and opportunities within the currently available data.

- Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location in Denver, CO.
- May coordinate the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and delivery dates for own projects.
- Work with a diverse set of business partners in Operations, Technology, Process Improvement, Project Management, Robotic Process Automation, Analytics, etc. to understand their needs and craft data-oriented solutions.
- Conduct training on use of applications developed.
