Citizens is looking to hire undergraduate interns to support innovative data & analytics initiatives across the bank, contributing to business performance analysis, customer behavior research, strategic insight generation, and ad-hoc investigations.
Requirements
- Experience working with raw and prepared datasets
- Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, WebFocus, or Amazon QuickSight is helpful but not required
- Introductory experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python & Pandas, R).
- Familiarity with cloud-based data environments such as AWS (e.g., Redshift, SageMaker JumpStart, Athena) a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel for exploratory analysis and scenario modeling; familiarity with tools like GBM and HEART is a plus
- Exposure to business data analysis techniques and the ability to interpret data to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business data to uncover patterns in customer behavior and operational performance
- Interpret findings in the context of real-world impact—understanding how insights affect customers, colleagues, and the broader ecosystem
- Measure the impact of new products and services post-release, compare back to forecast, and identify drivers of variance
- Assist in developing insights that inform strategy and identify opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to presentations for senior management, translating insights into strategic recommendations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine questions, validate findings, and ensure insights are relevant and actionable
- Contribute to the development and interpretation of dashboards and visualizations, ensuring insights are aligned with business goals
Other
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Applied Statistics, Applied Math, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or other quantitative fields
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2027
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment and collaborate across diverse business units.
