Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an eCommerce Data Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret enterprise data to provide actionable insights that will inform and guide their eCommerce strategy and decision-making, ultimately driving eCommerce success.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Snowflake, SQL, Python, R).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and pay attention to detail.
  • Driven in analytical thinking, anticipating the next question that will get asked by leaders regarding his/her insight results.
  • Experience with eCommerce tracking platforms (e.g., Google or Adobe analytics).
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data from various eCommerce platforms and sources to provide comprehensive insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business metrics.
  • Utilize statistical methods and data mining techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies in eCommerce data.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of eCommerce strategies and initiatives, suggesting improvements based on data analysis.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance data analysis practices.
