iCapital is seeking a Business Intelligence Data Engineer to partner with leaders across departments to understand their processes and challenges, and design data-driven solutions to address their needs. The role aims to drive mission-critical decision making and insights across various business units by implementing new reporting and business intelligence dashboards.
Requirements
- Intermediate SQL competency.
- 3-5 years’ experience using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau is a plus).
- Understanding and experience with data modeling, relational databases, conceptual and physical data models.
- Familiar with core data governance principles, data stewardship, traceability, lineage.
- Technical degree background (math, computer science, engineering, management information systems) is a plus.

- Your work will span the full data lifecycle—covering ingestion, centralization, governance, and business intelligence—while requiring hands-on involvement in the technical implementation.
- implement new reporting and business intelligence dashboards to drive mission critical decision making and insights across Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Executive Management.
- Develop an understanding of and work to enhance our evolving data model.
- Gather requirements, design solutions and implement new reporting solutions.
- Continuously expand the use of data driven analytics.
- Expand the self-service Business Intelligence and Reporting capabilities to additional areas of iCapital.

- Work with a cross section of iCapital Business professionals
- Work closely with our Finance, Sales, Product, Architecture, Engineering, and other business units across the firm
- Partner with the head of business intelligence and others across the firm
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, naturally curious, and willing to question the status quo to understand business needs.
- Experience with gathering requirements and implementing solutions in a systematic way.
- Strong communications skills and the ability to liaise between senior business and technical engineering professionals.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Prior experience in the financial services domain is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5+ years of previous work experience in a data related role
- Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
