Early Warning is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to evaluate, design, and develop business intelligence solutions that interpret metrics into information clarity to inform planning, measuring, trending, and enhance operational performance. The role involves aligning BI directions with strategic business initiatives and improving data quality and accessibility.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Tableau Server and Tableau Dashboard.
- Demonstrated ability with testing, problem solving and analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of the principle, practices and techniques of dashboard development, reporting, data modeling, ETL and systems design.
- Experience working with MS SQL query language and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Tableau desktop and Tableau Server.
- Experience creating Tableau to Hadoop dashboards using Cloudera Impala and/or Hive.
- Experience with Business Objects universes and Webi reports.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, design and develop business intelligence solutions.
- Interpret metrics into information clarity that informs planning, measuring, trending and enhanced operational performance.
- Research technology best-practices, implement frameworks, and align BI directions with strategic business initiatives.
- Analyze metrics sources, monitor data quality, define logical inter-dependencies, develop datamarts and build comprehensive business process dashboards.
- Work with business users to define new and existing requirements for reports and dashboards as well as identify gaps in data, logic, and business understanding.
- Using Tableau, create complex, visually appealing, and interactive dashboards/ scorecards/ reports to support business processes, including related trends, and projections.
- Run advanced Business Objects reporting that fulfill requests and that act as a data sources for Tableau reporting.
