Early Warning needs a Business Intelligence Developer to evaluate, design, and develop BI solutions that interpret metrics into information clarity to inform planning, measuring, trending, and enhanced operational performance. The role will also research best-practices, implement frameworks, and align BI directions with strategic business initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Tableau Server and Tableau Dashboard.
- Demonstrated ability with testing, problem solving and analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of the principle, practices and techniques of dashboard development, reporting, data modeling, ETL and systems design.
- Experience working with MS SQL query language and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Tableau desktop and Tableau Server.
- Experience creating Tableau to Hadoop dashboards using Cloudera Impala and/or Hive.
- Experience with Business Objects universes and Webi reports.
Responsibilities
- Work with business users to define new and existing requirements for reports and dashboards as well as identify gaps in data, logic, and business understanding.
- Using Tableau, create complex, visually appealing, and interactive dashboards/ scorecards/ reports to support business processes, including related trends, and projections.
- Run advanced Business Objects reporting that fulfill requests and that act as a data sources for Tableau reporting.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to come up with logical results and perform cause and effect analysis based on the data available.
- Design data ETL and manipulations to support production and ad-hoc analyses and reports.
- Investigate industry best-practices and help guide strategic data platforms, tools and processes.
- Recommends standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure, and attributes of the BI tools and systems.
