The Business Intelligence Developer is entrusted with high-level responsibilities encompassing business performance analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Working across multiple business functions, this individual collaborates with key stakeholders to gather technical requirements and transform them into innovative BI dashboards and reporting mechanisms using Microsoft Business Intelligence platforms, with a strong focus on Power BI.
Requirements
- At least 5 years* of hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and Microsoft business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with Power BI features, such as AI visuals and forecasting tools is a plus but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is also a plus, though not required.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage scalable business intelligence solutions that prioritize centralized semantic models. This includes leveraging data warehousing technologies and Power BI.
- Administer Power BI workspaces, manage deployment pipelines, ensure secure access and data integrity.
- Write complex SQL queries to collect and analyze data.
- Investigate and correct data discrepancies.
- Perform user acceptance testing.
- Assist with the implementation and support of business information systems across multiple departments.
- Gather and analyze requirements and develop a scope of work to communicate expectations and timelines.
Other
- A bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred; equivalent technical experience will be considered.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with emphasis on solving problems independently.
- Ability to communicate (written and oral) clearly and concisely at all levels of the organization.
