Sutter Health needs to ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulatory programs, including MIPS, MSSP ACO, and Promoting Interoperability, by transforming requirements into system configurations within Epic and resolving related issues.

Requirements

  • Epic certification in EpicCare Ambulatory or Inpatient required. Outpatient Regulatory Reporting Badge (if not currently certified to be obtained within 6 months of hire).
  • In-depth experience in architecting/solution design using technology experience in data management.
  • Advanced experience working with databases (e.g. SQL Server) and large datasets is required.
  • Experience with (e.g. Finance, HR, Clinical) data is required, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or expertise with SQL Server Reporting Services or other BI applications, and using advanced Excel features and techniques are required.
  • Experience working with a variety of information systems and data files, including large and complex files; analyzing file structure, using and creating file layouts, transforming raw data into finished products, e.g. trending and reports is required.
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehouse methodology, Dimensional modeling in data analysis, including preparing reports, and data presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a primary developer for ambulatory regulatory programs required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), including the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) Accountable Care Organization (ACO) as well as the CMS Promoting Interoperability program for eligible hospitals.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the latest CMS regulatory rules and data reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with all updates and revisions.
  • Transforms regulatory program requirements into system configurations, terminology, and data mappings in Epic.
  • Utilizes advanced experience to investigate and resolve regulatory-related issues within Epic.
  • Experience in the development of dashboards, score cards and reports.
  • Monitors measure performance, recognizes key trends, and collaborates with ambulatory quality leaders, clinicians, and workgroups in optimizing regulatory compliance and identifying opportunities for performance improvement.
  • In-depth experience in developing and implementing Business Intelligence solutions (reports, metrics, dashboards, and scorecards) as typically acquired in 6+ years.

Other

  • Employee will be expected to be on-site in Sacramento 2-3 days per week.
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Bachelor's in Applied Statistics, Computer Analytics, Computer, or related field

  • Comfortable interacting with individuals/groups at various organizational levels.
