Amazon is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE - II) to increase reporting efficiency and drive data-centric decision making for North America Stores, focusing on products that directly impact customer experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
Responsibilities
- design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated, and user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards that support key business functions.
- partner closely with cross-functional teams—including operations, business stakeholders, data science, and technology—to understand their goals and deliver solutions that meet their analytical and reporting needs.
- help define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs), streamline reporting processes, and drive improvements in data infrastructure.
- contribute to new initiatives and integration projects, applying your strong analytical skills to uncover meaningful insights from large and complex datasets.
- support senior leadership by conducting deep-dives and developing data-driven recommendations that enhance team effectiveness and customer outcomes.
- share best practices, mentor peers, and demonstrate your readiness to take on broader responsibilities, contributing to the continuous growth of both your team and the organization.

- The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
- Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
