Xcel Energy is looking for a part-time intern to support the management of solar interconnection queues, coordinate with consultants, and handle administrative tasks. This role aims to streamline processes, improve communication, and contribute to the company's operational efficiency in renewable energy projects.
Requirements
- Current student, Junior status (as of Fall2026) or higher.
- Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Project Management or Marketing
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the fall (up to 20 hours a week).
Responsibilities
- Support the management of the solar interconnection queues in Colorado, Minnesota and Texas applications
- Coordinate with consultants
- Handle associated administrative tasks
- Support the management of Consultants' invoices and facilitating communication with internal stakeholders
- Participate in the management of key KPIs associated with Operating Reviews required by the lean business process
- Coordinating customer communication from the portal (Saleforce) to the Engineering staff

- Able to commute to the service center in Denver, CO, or Lubbock, TX.
- This position is for a June 1st, 2026 start.
