Sun Life U.S. DentaQuest Claims Technology team needs to design and code innovative automation solutions to help the team focus less on administrative tasks and more on human-powered decision making, improving efficiency and quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience with object-oriented design and programming (Microsoft C preferred)
• Experience with IDE development tools (Microsoft Visual Studio or Code preferred)
• Analytical skills
• Ability to set up, conduct and manage effective meetings
• Working knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, etc…)
• Excellent verbal written communication skills
• Proactive, able to manage multiple projects with demanding deadlines

Responsibilities

• Regularly meets with operations colleagues to identify and design automations
• Develops business requirements for proposed automations and evaluate the cost-benefit between them ultimately decide which ones to prioritize
• Implements prioritized automations using object-oriented programming techniques
• Carefully and thoroughly tests / deploys automations
• Monitors and manages execution of the automations and resolves issues as they arise
• Drafts and sends communications to the team highlighting new automations and their value to the team
• Performs other duties as assigned

Other

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university during the time of the co-op (January 2026 – June 2026)
• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in a related field of study
• Eligible to legally work in the United States
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during co-op session
• Highly motivated, self-driven, focused, strong attention to detail
