The Business Strategy & Analytics Team needs an apprentice to collect data, perform data analysis, develop output of the results, and coordinate market research efforts to contribute to high visibility projects that will have a direct impact on the organization's top and bottom line.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in Python or R
- Experience manipulating data with SQL and/or advanced knowledge of Excel
- Possess a working knowledge of PowerPoint
- Experience manipulating data with SQL
- Ability to build dashboards in Tableau or Power BI
- Hands-on experience with survey-based consumer and market research
Responsibilities
- Collect and compile data from various sources.
- Perform analysis to support decisions across the organization including marketing, ticket sales, partnerships and operations.
- Perform online research utilizing public and subscription services
- Use online software to program market research surveys and compile results for analysis.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects to support other departments as needed.
Other
- Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, engineering, data science, analytics, or related field with record of strong academic achievement
- Highly analytical with a quantitative academic background
- General understanding of business operations – marketing, finance, sales
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently, with critical attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Willingness to learn and a passion for baseball
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
