Brave is looking for an engineer to improve its premium product offerings on Desktop and integrate new products, such as Brave VPN, enhancing existing integrations with the Desktop browser and creating new premium products to combat Big Tech's data exploitation and promote online privacy.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with desktop application development
- Strong C++ development skills
- Working experience with writing JavaScript
- Experience with C++ unit and integration testing
- Shell programming experience on Windows, macOS, or Linux
- Experience with the Chromium code base or other similar browser code base
- Development experience with WireGuard
Responsibilities
- improve our premium product offerings on Desktop
- help us integrate with and deliver new products
- Brave VPN is one of the products in our premium space which has integrations with the operating system and with our desktop browser
- Work together with our developers and privacy/security experts to help us create new premium products
- take our existing premium integrations with the Desktop browser to the next level
