TEGNA is looking to build and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient backend services that power their content platform, APIs, digital products, and data-driven workflows.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of backend development experience with C/.NET and REST APIs
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, messaging patterns, and cloud-native principles
- Experience with containerized applications and Kubernetes-based deployments
- Familiarity with distributed systems and asynchronous processing
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern dev workflows
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and CQRS patterns desired but not required
- Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools desired but not required
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy microservices in C that adhere to our event-driven, cloud-native architecture.
- Actively participate in agile sprints, sprint planning, and retrospectives, working closely with onshore and offshore team members.
- Use AI tools to accelerate development, generate documentation, and improve test coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, architecture, and frontend developers to deliver well-integrated solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that supports scalability, observability, and maintainability.
- Help identify and eliminate technical debt through proactive refactoring and code improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation strategies
