Peraton is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to work on the Intelligence Situation Awareness Tool (ISAT), a Tactical Data Processor (TDP), which processes tactical data in various formats and provides analysis tools for operators. ISAT supports multiple Navy missions, including the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program for the Tomahawk Missile program. The role involves developing and maintaining proprietary software with full lifecycle support and ensuring cybersecurity compliance.
Requirements
- Experience with C
- Operational familiarity with configuration management tools, including Azure DevOps
- Proficiency with Visual Studio or equivalent development tools
- Working knowledge of C++ (highly desirable)
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as MSFT SQL Server or PostgreSQL
- Practical familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift
- Familiarity with STIGs and cybersecurity best practices
Responsibilities
- Learn TMPC ISAT features and functions, including developing an understanding of tactical data
- Participate in all phases of software development, including requirements analysis, design, code, test, and documentation
- Implement security requirements, including STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) using cybersecurity best practices
- Support system integration and regression testing in both classified and unclassified environments
- Learn the program processes and procedures
- Contribute to the refinement of the team/project standards and conventions
- Engage in Agile ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up)
