Northrop Grumman is looking for a CAD/CAM Engineering Manager 2 to manage the CAD drafting group within the Sunnyvale Marine Systems Engineering Department and contribute to the development of mission-enabling solutions for global security.
Requirements
- Experience with CAD Modeling in CREO and NX
- Experience with PLM system, Windchill and Teamcenter
- Thorough understanding of Model Based Engineering (MBE)
- Fundamental Configuration Management Principles knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM with a minimum of 8 years related experience or Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years related experience
- Demonstrated leadership and teambuilding experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Manage workflow in the team to meet cost budgets and schedule deadlines
- Maintaining appropriate staffing levels that commensurate with dynamic workloads
- Coordinate drafting needs with engineering managers, project engineers and program managers
- Establishing and maintaining standards and procedures for generation of models and associated drawings
- Collaborate with configuration management to ensure proper data configuration control, managing CAD Software configuration
- Plan and manage employee training and development, and employee performance evaluations
- Develop and collect metrics to support cost estimating for future work
