Google is looking to develop novel Android platform software and related technologies for vehicles, specifically focusing on camera integrations and applications to enable image processing-centric solutions for OEM partners and to meet the needs of modern cars transforming into connected computers on wheels.

Requirements

  • 2 years of coding experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • 2 years of Android application development experience.
  • Experience with Android system or application development.
  • Experience investigating and optimizing performance or stability in software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of engineers focused on developing novel Android platform software and related technologies for vehicles.
  • Learn and develop expertise in automotive and Android technologies, as they relate to camera integrations and applications.
  • Design and implement new camera-related features and improvements for the Android Automotive platform.
  • Enable image processing-centric solutions on Android Automotive vehicles to meet our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners' needs.
  • Pursue efforts for improving image quality in the camera frameworks.
  • Work on interfacing Android Automotive apps to vehicle cameras, sensors, location, and digital cockpit controls, paving the way for next-generation perception use-cases on automotive.
  • Develop and deliver a leading Assistant-powered, navigation, entertainment, and communication vehicle system.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
