Girls on the Run Memphis is looking to solve the problem of effectively managing and executing their new Camp GOTR program, which aims to build confidence and life skills in 3rd-5th grade girls through a fun, inclusive, and creative curriculum. The intern will be responsible for the end-to-end management of this program, ensuring smooth logistics, successful participant and coach engagement, and positive outcomes for the girls.
Requirements
- 1+ years of youth programming or camp work experience
- 1+ years of volunteer management experience
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Experience working with youth from varied backgrounds
- Able to work in partnership with camp coaches
- Ensure all Camp Coaches have a CPR/First Aid certification and have successfully completed a background check
- Manage recruitment of Camp Coaches and ensure compliance with applicable trainings, certifications and risk management requirements as prescribed by council and Girls on the Run International
Responsibilities
- Manage host site recruitment and ongoing partnership
- Manage Camp GOTR participant recruitment and registration process
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Camp GOTR regarding questions, risk management issues, etc.
- Conduct post-Camp evaluation
- Complete Girls on the Run National Coach Training
- Manage recruitment of Camp Coaches and ensure compliance with applicable trainings, certifications and risk management requirements as prescribed by council and Girls on the Run International
- Ensure all Camp Coaches have a CPR/First Aid certification and have successfully completed a background check
