Beth Israel Lahey Health is looking to solve the problem of providing quality patient care by hiring a skilled EKG Technician to assist in cardiology stress testing and other related procedures.
Requirements
- EKG Technician, Cardiology Technician, Exercise Physiologist, who have had the following: Cardiology Stress Testing, EKG, Holter & Event Testing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- Capable of using Information Systems, e.g. Meditech, McKession
Responsibilities
- Explains procedure to patient prior to testing.
- Assists in gathering patient assessment data for physician review.
- Assures adequate equipment and supplies for testing.
- Maintains accurate records.
- Assists in monitoring patient EKG and vital signs during stress test and recovery period.
- Assists in initiating emergency measures as required.
- Performs EKGs, places holter and event monitors.
Other
- Minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalency
- Vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment.
- Communicates interdepartmentally and house-wide as needed.
