Requirements
- EKG Technician, Cardiology Technician, Exercise Physiologist
- Cardiology Stress Testing, EKG, Holter & Event Testing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- Capable of using Information Systems, e.g. Meditech, McKession
Responsibilities
- Explains procedure to patient prior to testing
- Assists in gathering patient assessment data for physician review
- Assures adequate equipment and supplies for testing
- Maintains accurate records
- Assists in monitoring patient EKG and vital signs during stress test and recovery period
- Performs EKGs, places holter and event monitors
- Connects patients to stress testing equipment
Other
- Minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalency
- Vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment
- Participates in process improvement
- Communicates interdepartmentally and house-wide as needed
- Rotating weekends and holidays
