Responsibilities
- Research KHIN for medical evidence and release to file in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Request medical evidence from multiple sources and providing secondary development as needed.
- Use scanner/printer to add documents to electronic file.
- Accurate data entry on cases.
- Enters and maintains information in spreadsheets, form letters, and database tables for specialized caseloads.
- Process information received in accordance with standard procedures, rules and regulations.
- Monitor assigned workflow queues and process documents received through email, fax, and mail.
Other
- Medical background is preferred: Medical records, terminology, or medical office experience or course work.
- Organization and time management skills are key.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
- Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State
- One year of experience interacting with clients, customers, or the public in a social service, customer service, or problem resolution setting.
