American Express is looking to solve the problem of developing reporting and analytics solutions to support the analytical needs for Colleague Experience Group (H.R.) stakeholders, while ensuring the security and compliance of its products and services.
Requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Data Warehouse (DW), Data Modelling concepts, developing Physical, Business Model & Mapping (BMM) and SQL/PLSQL
- Hands-on experience with the design and development of backend data models for Reporting/Analytics and building of visualizations leveraging tools such as Power BI & Tableau
- Familiar with Agile or other rapid application development methods
- Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Experience with Oracle’s analytics offerings, such as interactive dashboards & reports using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), OBIE, and OAC components like RPD, RDG
Responsibilities
- Creating reusable data assets ready for analysis
- Developing analytical reports to be consumed by key stakeholders leveraging Oracle Analytics, Power BI, & Tableau
- Applying software engineering best practices to analytics code
- Collaborating with product owners, delivery managers, vendors, engineers, architects, and key stakeholders to resolve complex technical problems and create solutions
- Function as member of an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of Software Development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines with independent judgement
- Proven ability to solve technical problems and the ability to influence key stakeholders
