Midas Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance department at JdV by Hyatt Brooklyn, ensuring all hotel systems and the physical structure are maintained to high standards and comply with safety regulations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of facilities experience
- Experience in a hotel management or supervisor position
- Has experience with NYC building regulations
- Has their FLSD Certificate
Responsibilities
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose problems or repair machines.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Maintains a Preventative Maintenance Program within the rooms and all equipment within the hotel, to ensure they are being kept up to standards on a quarterly basis and the proper documentation is being recorded.
- Responds to maintenance requests received from Front Desk or Housekeeping within 15 minutes (occupied rooms).
- Kitchen, Bar and Restaurant Maintenance
- Responsible for all New York City and State Fire, Life and Safety requirements

- Will create and implement Hotel Safety Committee
