The Boeing Company is seeking to lead the advancement and optimization of the PAC-3 seeker system, focusing on hardware development of radar seeker technologies and overseeing the integration of software and algorithm development to ensure seamless system performance.
Requirements
- 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in radar system hardware design, development, and integration
- Experience with RF seeker and seeker subsystems in missile or defense applications
- Strong knowledge of seeker hardware technologies and radar signal processing
- Experience with Technology Readiness Level (TRL) maturation processes
- Familiarity with digital signal processing techniques and tools
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools for radar systems
Responsibilities
- Lead the hardware research, development, and optimization efforts for the IAMD seeker systems, focusing on radar technologies
- Oversee the integration of software and algorithm development with hardware to ensure cohesive system functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, software, hardware, and test & evaluation to advance TRL levels
- Develop and implement technical strategies to enhance seeker performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align development efforts with program goals and timelines
- Oversee design reviews, risk assessments, and validation activities
