MORSE is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the development and deployment of software capabilities for machine learning, decision systems, and mission planning applications.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on AI/ML and decision systems
- Deep understanding of software development principles, methods, and tools
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Set the technical vision and direction for programs, collaborating with internal technical staff and external customers
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams developing algorithmic, software, cloud, and data solutions
- Manage program execution, ensuring schedule and budget adherence, and overseeing successful program delivery
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to program team members
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our portfolio and driving long-term growth
- Cultivate strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, advocating for MORSE's technology and services

- US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing high-performing technical teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences
