Axiom Space is building the world's first commercial space station and needs a Chief Information Officer to architect and execute a secure, scalable, and mission-aligned IT strategy that supports both classified and unclassified operations, driving digital transformation and modernizing legacy systems.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture and cloud platforms; cybersecurity frameworks, AI/ML systems integration, agile and DevOps methodologies, and data governance and analytics strategy.
- CISSP, CISM, or equivalent (for security leadership)
- PMP or Agile/Scrum certifications
- AI/ML or Data Science credentials (e.g., TensorFlow, AWS AI, AWS/Azure Architect, Microsoft AI Fundamentals)
- Experience in executive-level leadership roles such as CIO, CTO, or VP of IT.
- Experience with enterprise technology leadership within the aerospace and defense sector.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (including NIST, DFARS, and CMMC)

- oversee the design, deployment, and governance of enterprise information systems with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity resilience, regulatory compliance (including NIST, DFARS, and CMMC), and high availability across all platforms.
- lead the development of AI and data analytics frameworks to support predictive maintenance, intelligent decision-making, and real-time situational awareness for aerospace programs.
- aligning advanced technology solutions with government contracting requirements and aerospace mission objectives
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-wide information systems and infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies and protocols. Monitor and mitigate risks related to data privacy, regulatory compliance, and threat detection.

- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and technology investments to maximize ROI.
