Morningstar Sustainalytics is seeking a Chief Product Officer to oversee all product development for Sustainalytics, including their flagship ESG Research products, Climate Solutions, Stewardship Services, and Sustainable Finance, as well as their data and research delivery strategy.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in product management or a related field, preferably with a focus on building research or data products
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and product development best practices
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform product decisions

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all product development for Sustainalytics, including our flagship ESG Research products (ESG Risk, Regulatory Solutions, Impact Solutions) as well as Climate Solutions, Stewardship Services and Sustainable Finance.
  • Responsible for our data and research delivery strategy through external and internal platforms, data feeds and APIs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including technology, sales, marketing, data, methodology, research to develop and deliver product roadmaps through rigorous prioritization and execution.
  • Ensure all products have a cohesive and clear Go-To-Market plans that align with the customer needs.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Understand the needs of clients in all major markets/regions, conducting market research and gathering customer feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Partner with the Business Head of Regulatory Change and Compliance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Ability to present complex information at industry events and strategic client meetings
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify and prioritize key opportunities and challenges
  • This position can be located in London, Chicago or New York City.
