Lockheed Martin Space is experiencing significant growth within the FBM Program and needs to deliver new technologies to customers while maintaining the technical requirements of strategic deterrence. The company is looking for a Circuit Design Engineering Manager to lead the development of the Network IPT for the weapons system.
Requirements
- Electronics hardware design, development and test experience of avionics electronics, at the circuit card and unit level.
- Project leadership in electronics hardware design.
- Experience in the development including product ownership responsibility for missile, space, or equivalent high reliability applications.
- Experience with the development of the Flight Control and Network Subsystems for the weapons system with an emphasis on the Missile Computer, Thrust Vector Control, Networking and Communications Bus architecture and design.
- Demonstrated experience with processors, computer networking and Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) hardware
- Demonstrated experience with Avionics Architecture (physical / functional).
- Understanding of analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the Network IPT for the weapons system with an emphasis on the Missile Computer, Thrust Vector Control, Networking and Communications Bus architecture and design.
- Provide leadership on a fast paced team from requirements through development and production.
- Be responsible to assure coordination between functional groups during the product development life cycle.
- Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
- Participate in technical reviews and audits.
- Electronics hardware design, development and test experience of avionics electronics, at the circuit card and unit level.
- Experience with the development of the Flight Control and Network Subsystems for the weapons system with an emphasis on the Missile Computer, Thrust Vector Control, Networking and Communications Bus architecture and design.
Other
- Conducting personnel management for a portion of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Tactical Avionics team
- Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.
- Responsible for performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
- Project lead in electronics hardware design with a track record of success in meeting technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
- While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
