Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern (Airfield Design) to join their Transportation team to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to airport clients' challenges locally and worldwide.
Requirements
- In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Completed coursework related to transportation engineering, highway design or airport design
- Valid Driver’s License
- 3.0 GPA
- Must be at least a rising Junior
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D software
- A previous internship related to your field of study
Responsibilities
- Assist in field data collection in support of airfield improvement projects
- Assist in basic airfield geometric design and layout
- Assist with pavement evaluation, rehabilitation design and new construction thickness determination
- Support the development of construction plans and technical specifications for airfield expansion or rehabilitation
- Help prepare technical reports and design documentation
- Participate in observation and record keeping during construction work
