Requirements
- AutoCAD skills, including Civil3D
- Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with the FAA Advisory Circulars related to civil engineering
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeoffs, computer modeling, design calculations, and plan set production for commercial and general aviation airports
- Design horizontal and vertical geometry, drainage calculations and sizing of systems, pavement markings, fence line layouts, project phasing and under the guidance of others, pavement design for aircraft
- Work closely on project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group
- Work under the supervision of senior staff to produce quality design and plans and interpret plans from other engineering related disciplines (survey, drainage, structural, etc.)
- Observe project action on site, representing the engineering team in the field and performing construction administration and management
- Be a self-starter and responsible for quality work products, bringing ideas to our project teams and striving for your own professional growth
Other
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
- Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time
- A passion for airports and aviation
- Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role
