Requirements

  • AutoCAD skills, including Civil3D
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with the FAA Advisory Circulars related to civil engineering

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantity takeoffs, computer modeling, design calculations, and plan set production for commercial and general aviation airports
  • Design horizontal and vertical geometry, drainage calculations and sizing of systems, pavement markings, fence line layouts, project phasing and under the guidance of others, pavement design for aircraft
  • Work closely on project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group
  • Work under the supervision of senior staff to produce quality design and plans and interpret plans from other engineering related disciplines (survey, drainage, structural, etc.)
  • Observe project action on site, representing the engineering team in the field and performing construction administration and management
  • Be a self-starter and responsible for quality work products, bringing ideas to our project teams and striving for your own professional growth

  • Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time
  • A passion for airports and aviation
  • Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role
