Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to solve complex problems and analyze possible solutions for large-scale airport infrastructure projects

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, pptx)
• In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
• Interest in a career in civil engineering at airports
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
• 3.0 GPA
• Knowledge of airfield systems, access control, and the design and construction of aviation infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of airfield pavements, including runways, taxiways, and aprons
• Support the development of airport terminal area plans and landside facilities
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and design documentation for aviation projects
• Participate in site visits to assess existing airport conditions and collect essential data for project planning
• Utilize civil engineering expertise to solve a range of complex problems
• Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures
• Work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with clients

Other

• In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
• Must be at least a rising Junior
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
• 3.0 GPA
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, splitting work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations
