Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join their Airports/ Aviation Facilities team in Pittsburgh, PA, to work on innovative solutions for large-scale airport infrastructure projects, including taxiways, runways, aprons, and airfield systems.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D or MicroStation
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design of airfield pavements, including runways, taxiways, and aprons
- Support the development of airport terminal area plans and landside facilities
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and design documentation for aviation projects
- Participate in site visits to assess existing airport conditions and collect essential data for project planning
- Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures
- Solve a range of complex problems
- Design and construction of aviation infrastructure
Other
- In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in an accredited program
- Must be at least a rising Junior
- 3.0 GPA
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
