Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join their Public Infrastructure - Infrastructure Design team to assist with various technical tasks and preliminary design calculations for infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of the software required for position
Responsibilities
- Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks
- Project research, field work, observation and preliminary design calculations
- Uses CAD to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts and estimates
- Performs routine analysis to check accuracy of data and work products
- Assist in the preparation of exhibits, plot plans, lot fits or other similar tasks by discipline

- Take personal responsibility for quality of tasks performed
- Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
- Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs
- Basic knowledge of the firm’s policies, practices and procedures
- Good organizational skills
- Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations
- Currently working towards completion of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Expected start date: January 2026 or May/June 2026
