ENERCON's Energy Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Manager to lead utility projects, mentor a team, and drive impactful projects for major clients.
Requirements
- 8 years minimum of Civil Engineering experience with a focus on land development and permitting
- 5+ Years of experience leading employees or leading multidiscipline projects
- Licensed Professional Engineer required
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Civil Site Engineering, coordinating with Management, PMs, and internal teams to direct and assign work to staff.
- Collaborate with project Lead Engineers to ensure quality standards are met and maintain control over project budgets and schedules.
- Assign discipline Responsible Engineers (RE) for projects, and approve engineering documents, certifying designs as required by state and local regulations
- Support proposal preparation and lead cost estimation for scope and budget.
- Develop professional relationships with clients and actively market the group’s expertise to attract new business opportunities
- Use the review and approval process for deliverables as a technical training opportunity for staff.
- Demonstrate technical leadership by resolving technical issues through personal expertise or by engaging Subject Matter Experts
Other
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university (or equivalent foreign degree)
- Required to travel up to 10-20% of the time to client sites for project and/or marketing meetings.
- Excellent verbal communication skills; comfortable and effective communicator with team, clients, management, etc., choosing the right mode of communication for the situation and relaying the right message
- Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail
- Strong coordination and team-building skills; demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, divisions, and teams.
