JT is on a growth spree and is looking for a Civil Engineer Structural Manager to lead projects and shape their services, playing a key role across JT's municipal, transportation, and site development groups.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience with multiple years leading projects
- A Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Wisconsin or ability to obtain PE
- Experience managing structural engineering design projects and team of designers
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations and permitting
Responsibilities
- Managing scope, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, client communications, staffing, and budget for the entire project lifecycle, from project pursuit through project delivery
- Leading and mentoring colleagues on transportation related projects
- Administering the JT Quality Assurance process for all projects
- Experience managing structural engineering design projects and team of designers
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations and permitting
Other
- Working with leadership to establish goals, monitoring, and implementing short and long-term vision for team as part of the annual business plan
- Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships
- Communicating effectively internally and externally
- Assist in determining staffing needs, recruiting and retaining staff
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to worksites, meetings with clients, and attend conferences
- To be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located
- To occasionally travel out-of-town and overnight for professional development and/or project-related work
