Jacobs is seeking a Civil/ Traffic Engineering Intern to join their Transportation team to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to clients' challenges, aimed at improving traffic flow, safety, and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D)
Responsibilities
- involved in a variety of engineering tasks for our DOT clients; aimed at improving traffic flow, safety, and infrastructure.
- work with a multidisciplinary team taking on a variety of tasks that blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application.
- work on a variety of transportation and traffic engineering projects related to traffic operations, safety analysis, corridor studies, traffic simulation modeling, signal timing & operations, and traffic design (signals, signs, pavement markings, illumination, ITS, etc.).
- Work will be performed utilizing Big Data, with traffic engineering software including SYNCHRO, Highway Capacity Software (HCS) as well as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Other
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related degree
- Previous experience design or transportation-related coursework
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
