The Ohio State University's Comprehensive Cancer Center is looking to solve the problem of conducting clinical research in pulmonary physiology by hiring a Clinical Research Assistant to provide support to the Center for Tobacco Research.
Requirements
- Knowledge of database software applications like REDCap and excel
- Experience performing basic laboratory procedures to process biological specimens
- Computer skill required
- CPR/AED certification
- Experience in research capacity
- Knowledge or experience in lung physiology, exercise physiology or exercise science
- Experience with customer service
Responsibilities
- Participant recruitment, screening, scheduling and conducting visits
- Maintains study logs, participant folders, study database, REDCap database
- Bio-specimen processing, storage, and shipping
- Lab quality control
- Data quality control
- Purchasing and organizing study materials
- Reporting and regulatory tasks
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences or medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience
- 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
- Ability to work on weeks to fit with research participants schedule
- Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check
- A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
