The Ohio State University's FAES | Food Science and Technology department is seeking a Clinical Research Associate Coordinator to support and implement daily clinical research activities across one or more projects in nutritional, dietetic, biological, and health sciences. This role is crucial for ensuring protocol compliance and research integrity in ongoing studies.
Requirements
- Ability to apply academic and/or practical knowledge to biological/health/nutrition science research
- Familiarity with clinical measurements and cognitive/behavioral testing protocols
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) credentials
- Experience conducting clinical research in food science, nutrition, health, or dietetics
- Experience administering cognitive and behavioral questionnaires
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical research activities in accordance with approved protocols
- Assist in data collection, coding, extraction, and analysis
- Evaluate and calculate standardized scoring for diagnostic, psychological, and behavioral assessments
- Support the development and tailoring of cognitive tests per study protocols
- Maintain access and credentials for the NIH Cognitive Toolbox
- Identify and recruit study participants, including travel to medical centers and clinics
- Interview, assess, enroll participants, and administer study questionnaires and measurements
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related medical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve, take initiative, and make recommendations
