The NIH is looking to solve cardiovascular disease research problems through the application of scientific methods and the development of novel cardiovascular therapies and interventions.
Requirements
- Must be knowledgeable in interventional cardiology
- Must have experience in consultative and invasive procedures as well as using iterative approaches with device development
- Proficient in data analysis software tools.
- Publications in peer reviewed journals.
- Experience with advanced interventional cardiology skills
- Experience with device development and testing
- Experience with clinical research protocols and ethical standards
Responsibilities
- Apply scientific methods for cardiovascular disease research ranging from molecular level studies up to and including clinical projects in diagnostics, therapeutics, and interventions.
- Support an iterative design and testing of structural heart therapies.
- Support the development of a novel ventriculoplasty using intramyocardial navigation.
- Conduct in vivo refinement and testing of a novel SESAME myotomy catheter and a novel VINTAGE ablation catheter system.
- Conduct other novel procedures and devices developed by the laboratory that rely on advanced interventional cardiology skills.
- Analyze and interpret experimental outcomes; refine approach or device design based on analysis results.
- Provide consultative cardiovascular care.

- 8+ years of related experience
