The Air Force needs cloud-based solutions for some of its toughest problems, and the company is looking for a Cloud Application Architect to develop cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with AWS or Azure, including deploying, configuring, and maintaining virtual systems and software in the Cloud
- Experience with scripting languages
- Experience with physical or virtual networking
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C, or C++
- Experience with Agile development
- Experience designing, developing, deploying, or testing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and using tools such as EC2, S3, ELBs, RDS, VPCs, security groups, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or IAM permissions
- Experience working with microservices and containerization, including orchestration, cluster management, and container storage using Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher
Responsibilities
- Develop solution architecture (SA) and resolve complex issues in a variety of projects through the implementation of requirements analysis, expertise support, and project supervision
- Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts
- Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions
- Operate independently with substantial latitude in decision making and mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies
- Provide technical support in the definition, development, and improvement of application architecture to ensure that client needs are fully met
- Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge
- Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity

- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT or IAM Level II Certification or DoD 8140 Certification within 6 months of start date
